Print & Embroidery – Frequently Asked Questions

Do you personalise clothing that I bring in myself?

Yes, definitely.
If you’ve already bought your own garments, bring them in and we’ll embroider or print them. Polos, hoodies, jackets, kits, schoolwear – as long as the fabric can take it, we’ll tell you what’s possible.

Is there a minimum order?

No strict minimum.
We’re happy to do one-off bits (a single hoodie, name or number) as well as full club, school or workwear orders. Bigger runs just work out better value per item.

How long does it take?

Most jobs land in roughly 7–10 working days, depending on:

How many items you need
Embroidery vs print (or both)
How busy we are / time of year

If you’ve got a hard deadline (match, tournament, leavers day, event), tell us at the start and we’ll be honest about what we can do.

What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Croston (PR26 9RA) and mainly look after:

Croston, Eccleston, Mawdesley
Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Euxton, Chorley
Preston & South Ribble
Wider Lancashire – and we can ship UK-wide

You can collect from the shop or choose delivery.

What types of garments can you print or embroider?

Loads, including:

Workwear – polos, hoodies, jackets, softshells, hi-vis
Football kits & teamwear
School PE kits & leavers hoodies
Tracksuits, bench jackets, rain jackets
Caps, beanies and some bags/accessories

If you’re unsure, send a photo or bring one in and we’ll tell you if it’s a good idea or not.

What brands do you supply?

We’re Lancashire’s only Nike Teamwear Partner, and we also supply Adidas, Puma, Umbro, Stanno and Joma, plus other strong brands for training wear and kit. GALAXY TEAMWEAR+1

On the workwear side, we’ve got a wide range of reliable gear via Galaxy Print’s catalogue – everything from basic polos to jackets and hi-vis. galaxyprint+1

Do you only work with football clubs?

No. Football’s a big part of what we do, but we also work with:

Schools & colleges
Dance schools and academies
Trades & construction
Local shops, offices and gyms
Events, tours, charities and community groups

If you need your logo on clothing, we’ll usually have an option that works.

Do you set up online club / team shops?

Yes.
We can build a dedicated online shop for your club, school or organisation so players, parents or staff can order direct. We already run shops for a lot of local clubs and schools, and everything is fulfilled from our Croston base. GALAXY TEAMWEAR+1

What’s the difference between embroidery and print?

Embroidery

Stitched into the garment
Looks smart and lasts a long time

Print (DTF / vinyl etc.)

Better for bold, large or full-colour designs
Perfect for sponsors, numbers, names and graphics

If you’re not sure, we’ll recommend what suits your logo, garment and budget.

Can you match our existing kit or workwear?

Most of the time, yes.
If we know the brand and style (or you show us an existing item), we’ll either source the same product or suggest the closest current option. For older ranges that have been discontinued, we’ll find something that fits in well.

Do you keep my logo on file for future orders?

Yes.
Once your logo is set up for embroidery or print, we keep it on file. That means repeat orders are quicker and easier – you just tell us what you want it on and how many.

Can you help with logo or artwork design?

Yes.
We’ve got an in-house graphic design team that can create or tidy up logos, set up sponsor artwork and prepare designs for print or embroidery. GALAXY TEAMWEAR+1

If you’ve only got a rough idea or a low-res image, we can usually sort it.

What artwork files do you accept?

Ideally:

Vector files: AI, EPS, PDF
Or high-resolution PNG/JPEG

If you’re not sure, just send what you’ve got. We’ll tell you if it’s usable or if it needs redrawing.

How should I wash printed or embroidered garments?

General rule of thumb:

Wash inside out
Stick to 30–40°C
Avoid tumble drying where possible
Don’t iron directly on prints or badges

If you’ve got specialist items (like waterproof jackets or tech fabrics), follow the care label on the garment too.

What happens if there’s a mistake with my order?

If we’ve made an error, we’ll fix it.
Let us know as soon as you spot a problem, bring or send the item back, and we’ll put it right. If there’s an issue with sizing or you’ve changed your mind on something personalised, we’ll always try to help, but we’ll be upfront about what’s possible.

Can I see a proof before you go ahead?

Yes.
For new logos, complex designs or bigger orders we’ll usually send a visual or sample for approval before we run the full job. Once you’re happy and we’ve got everything signed off, we go into production.

How do I pay?

You can usually pay:

In-store (card or cash)
Online (for web orders / club shops)
By invoice for agreed accounts / larger jobs

For custom orders we’ll often take payment or a deposit before production starts.

Can you handle everything for our club, school or business?

Yes – that’s what we’re set up for.

We can:

Source the garments
Sort the design and artwork
Handle print and embroidery in-house
Pack and dispatch
Run an online shop if you want people to order direct

You decide what you want on the range – we do the rest.

How do I get a quote?

Nice and simple:

Tell us what you need (garments, quantities, embroidery/print, logos and positions).
Send over your logo or any artwork.
Let us know your rough deadline.
We’ll come back with a clear breakdown and next steps.
